Canadian Data Source Migration

Dun and Bradstreet has undergone a business transformation with investments in technology, data, and analytics, focused on optimizing the delivery of our solutions through modern API offerings so that our clients receive the highest level of quality data and insights in the most efficient and effective manner.
As part of our data supply chain consolidation, we will be migrating the source of Canadian data. This change will result in several data improvements as well as some API specific changes, noted below.
The highlights of the data improvements are as follows:
- For companies with “Out of Business” [OB] status, the data from the previous live record (e.g., employees, principals, financials, legal, financing, significant, etc.) will also be delivered in addition to the data related to the OB status.
- Additional legal and financing events (Suits, Liens, Judgments, PPSA, and dispositions for Suits, Liens and Judgments [SLJ] such as Suit settled) associated with a company will be delivered, where applicable. Previously a maximum of 40 events were delivered.
- Additional events with Contact and Publication sources will be delivered in the filings section, where applicable.
- Legal Event: 15445-Notice of Intention to File a Proposal, 25069 Chapter 15 Petition.
- Significant Events: 28227-Address Change, 32887 Name Change As
- Currently, only one Balance sheet and P&L are delivered. After the migration, multiple Balance Sheets and P&L where applicable.
- Currently, only 24-months derived trade data is available. After the migration, 3-months, and 12-months data will be also be delivered where applicable.

Business Information Report (TXT & PDF Version)
- The TXT format of the BIR report will be available in English only. However, the PDF format will continue to be available in English and French.
- Some of the legacy fields such as "In Date" status, "Last Full Revision" date, and "Most Recent Update" date are decommissioned. These are no longer applicable as we update business information on companies constantly through several resources including automated bulk dates.
- We are also enhancing the look of the TXT and PDF reports. Please see the sample below to familiarize yourself with the new format.
Comprehensive Report (HTML Version)
- Some of the legacy fields such as "In Date" status, "Last Full Revision" date, and "Most Recent Update" date are decommissioned. These are no longer applicable as we update business information on companies constantly through several resources including automated bulk dates.
- We are enhancing the look of the HTML report. Please see the sample below to familiarize yourself with the new format.
