Product Request
Overview
An organization (or individual) name is a required input. Address input is optional but it is advisable to include. For organizations domiciled in the United States and Canada, including a state or territory significantly improves the quality of the results.
Data Layer Entitlement
For customers in U.S. and Canadian markets, the API is provisioned for specific collections of products, reports, and/or features (collectively referred to as data layers) for production and trial usage. Entitlement is not required for testing in the sandbox environment.
- This product is entitled as "Compliance Patriot Act" for D&B Direct 2.0 customers.
For customers in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg markets, the API is provisioned as a specific set of data layers for production, trial, and sandbox usage.
- This particular data layer is included in the D&B Direct Onboard 2.0 suite.

Response Codes & Error Handling
Successful service requests will return a CM000 response code in the TransactionResult ResultID field.
When there is No match returned during screening, Services will return CM018 response code.
When sub_org is not set for the subscriber, Services will return SC013 response code - contact your local Customer Service Center for assistance resolving the response.
Operation-specific supplemental response code explanations:
CM000 | Information Success. |
CM001 | The given request is invalid. |
CM002 | The format of this request is invalid. |
CM003 | Missing Information in the request. |
CM004 | Fatal Internal D&B system error. Please try again or contact your local Customer Service Center. |
CM005 | D&B System temporarily unavailable. Please try again or contact your local Customer Service Center. |
CM007 | Your request cannot be fulfilled for the given criteria. |
CM010 | Partial Success. Component(s) of composite operation failed. |
CM011 | Invalid Country Code provided in the request. |
CM014 | Invalid Product Code provided in the request. |
CM018 | No candidates resulted for the given input criteria. |
CM025 | Product not supported by the service. |
CM028 | Fatal D&B system unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance. Please try later or contact your local Customer Service Center. |
SC001 | Your user credentials are invalid. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC002 | Your user credentials are not eligible for this request. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC003 | Your user credentials have expired. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC004 | Your Subscriber number has expired. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC005 | You have reached maximum limit permitted as per the contract. Please contact your D&B representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC006 | Transaction not processed as the permitted concurrency limit was exceeded. |
SC007 | Subscriber validation failed. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC008 | You have repeatedly attempted to login with an incorrect User ID or Password. For security purposes, the account has been locked out. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. Your account has been locked out due to repeated attempts to login with an incorrect User ID/Password. SC009 | Invalid Sign On Token in the request. Please contact your D&B Representative or your local Customer Service Center. |
SC010 | The User ID you provided doesn’t exist in the system. |
SC011 | The User ID you provided already exist in the system. |
SC012 | Request not processed as user activation key is invalid / expired. |
SC014 | Your user credentials are not eligible for this request since you are in trial period. |
SC017 | Actual user information is not present in the request. |
SC013 | Security error while connecting to Partner system. |
