Alternate Ratings Used

O-Used when information available is insufficient or does not permit assignment of a rating. Also assigned to businesses that have been trading for a relatively short period. Other reasons include:
  • A deficit net worth
  • Bankruptcy proceedings
  • A critical financial condition
  • Lack of executive background information
  • Lack of indate financial statement
  • Recent Inception
  • Lack of ownership details
NQCertain businesses (according to SIC) are not active seekers of commercial credit and thus do not lend themselves to a D&B Rating. Businesses that have ceased operations or have gone out-of-business are also assigned NQ rating which means "Not Quoted".
