Welcome to D&B Integration Manager Online Help
D&B Integration Manager helps you maintain high-quality information and create an integrated, enterprise-wide view of the customer. D&B Integration Manager integrates your business customer information from diverse systems based on D-U-N-S® Numbers and a Common Customer Directory that D&B builds for you.
By using D&B Integration Manager, you can assemble all the different angles, or views, of the customer. To do this, you assign consistent customer IDs from all of your systems records and store the customer IDs in a central Common Customer Directory. You can then use the Common Customer Directory to identify customers in future interactions. You can also use the directory as part of an ongoing integration process to consolidate customer information into a data warehouse.
D&B Integration Manager provides a database of D&B Global Business information and provides you with an enhanced view of business customers that are matched to the D&B Global Business Database.
Understanding the Integration Manager Workflow
The D&B Integration Manager workflow transforms a partial and possibly inaccurate record into a more complete and current customer record, as shown in the following diagram.
- D&B Integration Manager creates an on-site Common Customer Directory.
- This directory integrates various views of your own internal business customer and identities and enriches them with additional information from the D&B Global Business Database.
- As you add new customer records to your enterprise systems, the D&B Integration Manager proprietary matching capability finds a matching customer record in the Common Customer Directory. Using these records, you can consistently identify customers.
- Next, D&B Integration Manager enriches the customer record by using the D&B D-U-N-S Number to link to other information about the customer that resides in the D&B database.
- Finally, D&B Integration Manager returns the normalized and enriched customer record to the source system in your specified format.
- For customer information that does not match any record in the Common Customer Directory, D&B Integration Manager creates a new record and initially populates it from the D&B database.
- If the D&B database is unable to return a match, D&B Integration Manager adds the new record to the D&B on-site database, and the new customer record is made available for matching in the Common Customer Directory.
