Configuring the DUNS Extract Parameters
NOTE: This feature is only available to administrators.
IMPORTANT: It is extremely important to schedule the DUNS Extract process to run every month in conjunction with the Monthly Update process. This practice helps to maintain the continuity of updates to your Common Customer Directory.
To set the scheduling of the DUNS Extract file and delivery of the local DUNS Number information to D&B, use the DUNS Extract tab. This process controls the content of the Monthly Update files, which D&B generates only when it receives the Extract information. The DUNS Extract must be set to Stopped in order for you to make changes.
- On the Home page window, click Configuration.
- Click DUNS Extract tab.
- In the Status field, verify the status is Stopped. If the status does not display Stopped, click Running to stop the task.
- In the Schedule field, click the schedule to change the frequency of the schedule.
- In the Save to file field, click to save the extract to a file.

- In the Send via FTP field, click to send the file using FTP.
NOTE: If you click Send via FTP, you must verify all FTP server settings on the D&B DIB Server tab. Any invalid information will impact the DUNS Extract phase of the Monthly Update process. For more information, see Configuring the D&B Data Integration Batch Server.
- Click Save.
- Click Run when you are finished to start Extract again.
