Step 4: Defining the Tie-Breaking Priority for a Lookup Workflow
To specify the criteria for how you want D&B Integration Manager to break a tie when it runs a Lookup, you can set the tie-breaking priority for Source Systems. The higher in the list, the higher the priority. Access the Tie Breaking features by clicking on the Tie Breaking icon in the Matching Phase folder area.
NOTE: Tie-breaking priority parameters are unavailable for DUNS Number, SQL, Unicode, and NLMI Lookups.
By default, DNB Business and Tradestyle records have priority over user-defined records. You can, however, change this setting in the Tie-Breaking parameters.
To define Tie-Breaking Priority:
- On the Company Lookup tab, click Customize Workflow, and then click Tie-Breaking .
- In the Tie Breaking area, Source System Order tab, click the source and use the blue arrows to change the priorities for a Source System.
- Click Apply.
