Promoting Unmatched Records
You can promote unmatched records that missed being matched by one confidence code.
- Click the Unmatched link of any job to view its record result.
- Click Missed by 1 CC to display the unmatched records that have missed by "1" confidence code.
- Select an individual or all records by clicking the check box next to the record or records.
- Click the Match/Insert button to promote a record from Unmatched to Matched.
- Click the check box next to a record or records to select or deselect them.
Selected records are updated in, or added to, the Common Customer Directory. The Match/Insert button functions are based on the Insert Matched Records and Insert Unmatched Records options present in the workflow configuration for the specific batch job.
When you promote a record from Unmatched to Matched and the workflow is configured using the Insert icon , the following conditions apply:

Demoting Matched Records
- To demote a record, select the Matched link of any job.
- Click Unmatch to demote the matched record.
You can demote only the promoted records. You can select one or all Matched records by selecting the check box next to the record.
When you demote a record from Matched to Unmatched, and the workflow is configured using the Insert icon, the following conditions apply:

Based on the Promotion/Demotion, the Matched and Unmatched record counts are updated in the Job Status tab. If a duplicate record exists during the Promotion/Demotion of records, the appropriate alert messages are displayed.
When promoting an unmatched record, if the Insert Matched Records option is enabled in the workflow configuration, Insert Unmatched Records option is disabled, and the Duplicate Detection option is enabled, a message displays indicating if any duplicate records are detected.
If you click OK, the duplicate record will be moved to the duplicate table and removed from the unmatched table. If you click Cancel, the unmatched records will not be promoted.
When demoting an already promoted record, if the workflow configuration has Insert Unmatched Records option as enabled, Insert Matched Records option as disabled and the Duplicate Detection option as enabled, then a message (depicted below) is shown for the user in case a duplicate record(s) is detected.
If you click OK, the duplicate record will be moved to the duplicate table and removed from the matched table. If you click Cancel, the matched records will not be demoted.
