Running an Automated Batch
To match input files or tables on a regularly scheduled basis, set up an automatic batch. First, specify the trigger and file pattern that you want D&B Integration Manager to look for to start the automatic batch.
For example, if you want to run a batch at the same time every day, your system administrator can schedule the automatic batch.
The batch Workflow contains:
- Batch parameters, such as the name of the trigger file
- Import parameters
- Matching parameters
- Data views for both matched and unmatched data
After you specify the Workflow, D&B Integration Manager looks for the input file in the specified location and verifies whether it exists. Then D&B Integration Manager runs the batch process, that is, imports the file, maps the fields, and so on.
IMPORTANT: In D&B Integration Manager, the default directory is <im-install>\jboss\jboss\bin
. During the execution of the scripts, the default directory is used as the current directory and not the directory in which the script is located. Users must always include a change directory command in the script to ensure that D&B Integration Manager is pointing to the correct directory as required by the script.
