Managing Decode Secondary Divisions

To convert multiple terms for the same entity to a standard naming convention, use the Decode Secondary Divisions (Scndry Div) tab. Typically, you use this feature to convert state names for batch processing. For example, you can change California and California state to CA, which is the standard naming convention in the data dictionary.

Creating a Decode Secondary Division

NOTE: This feature is only available to administrators.

  1. On the Home page window, click System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings window, click the Decode Scndry Div tab. The Decode Scndry Div area displays a list of the currently defined Decode Scndry Divs.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the Create Decode Scndry Div area, type the name for the new Decode Scndry Div.
  5. Click Save.

Next you need to add values to the Decode Scndry Div that you created.

  1. In the Decode Scndry Div area, click the name of the Decode Scndry Div you created.
  2. In the Decode Scndry Div <Name of new Decode Scndry Div>, click Add.

  1. In the Input Value, Standard Value, Country Standard Value, Postal Code Start Range, and Postal Code End Range fields, enter these values for the new entry.
  2. Click Save.

Deleting a Decode Secondary Division

NOTE: This feature is only available to administrators.

  1. On the Home page window, click System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings window, click Decode Scndry Div.
  3. In the Decode Scndry Div area, click the check box next to the Decode Scndry Div you want to delete.

NOTE: You can select more than one Decode Scndry Div.

  1. Click Delete.
